Remember!
Cocker Spaniels are a highly sociable breed. They are great in a family setting or with other animals, but being in a house full of guests your dog may or may not know, can be stressful to him/her.  If you are expecting to entertain a large gathering, it might be better to put your puppy/dog in a safe, quiet area that your guests won't be using.  Check on him/her often
to make sure they have fresh
water and food; and don't forget a leash for walks outside!
This way you can enjoy your company knowing your dog is safe
and happy without the dangers
of people tripping on them causing
injury to either you guest or your dog.

Also…
please be reminded that the gift of an animal is a wonderful idea but not always a
practical one.
Make sure the person you
are buying the animal for not
only wants them, but is set up or ready for them as well. Owning an animal is a huge responsibility in time, energy, and money.
Make sure your gift is
really a gift to the person as
well as to the animal.
